Is Organic Food More Healthy?

Organic food is often misunderstood by people. Many think it will magically have extra vitamins or minerals, and that consuming organic foods will keep you from becoming obese. These thoughts are anything but true, and are certainly not the reason why eating organic food makes a difference.

Organic food works to prevent toxic elements from getting into your body. The benefits of this are obvious, but a few of the biggest problems of consuming toxins are way more autoimmune disorders such as arthritis, eczema, and diabetes, to name a few.

These chemicals are unsafe for human consumption on their own but when they build up over time because you're ingesting them faster than you can get rid of them, they can do damage - especially to your liver.

This is also thought to be part of the cause of obesity. The liver plays a large roll in the bodies ability to burn fat. If the liver spends all its time and energy simply removing toxins, it becomes full of toxins itself (think of it like a filter) and can no longer work well. It becomes less and less efficient at burning fat.

Another reason it is healthier for you is because of the potential interactions between multiple chemicals being applied to your food. Sure, the chemical used as a pesticide on the corn might've been proven safe by itself, and the preservatives used in the frozen dinner you love might've been proven safe by itself. But, that doesn't mean that when they're combined to form the actual frozen dinner that is no interaction. They could become a whole new chemical compound that has never been proven safe.

When you stop putting so many bad things into your body, something amazing can happen. Your body can stop being on high-alert all the time, constantly trying to bail water out of a quickly sinking ship.

Once that happens, your body gets back on track, and amazing things start to happen. You'll have more energy, your skin will be clearer, even the whites of your eyes will be whiter. You'll have more calmness of mind, and hopefully you'll end up with a whole new lease on life. All from eating foods produced the new-old-fashioned way.
