Can Walking Burn More Fat than Running?

Treadmill fitness is one of the best ways for people to get into better shape. The treadmill has long been a staple of fitness machines due to its effective and the simplicity of its design.

Many people are therefore ditching the harder workouts of a cardiovascular exercise for the a-famed, more effective fat burning ones. Running is one of these cardiovascular workouts losing to the fat burning craze.

The craze goes as follows: the fat burning zone is any exercise that is hard enough to start burning extra pounds, but not hard enough to raise your heart rate too much. The instant your heart rate reaches a certain level, the exercise transforms into cardio training.

These items and equipment can be tempting to buy but will give the customer less results in overall health for a higher dollar price overall. Some equipment that can be used for a variety of exercises that will work multiple aspect of the body include an exercise ball, a multi station home gym, or home cardio machines.

Exercise balls, which are relatively inexpensive for exercise equipment with a cost usually starting around $20, can be used for a variety of exercising activities including exercising a person's abs, cardio exercises, and as use as a lighter weight medicine ball. But a smart purchase of an inexpensive multi useable exercise tool is not the only way to save money on getting fit.

Gym memberships can cost and individual hundreds of dollars a year. While gyms offer their customers access to multiple types of exercise equipment, their main use comes in the form of fixed cardio equipment and weightlifting equipment.

With the increases of stamina and endurance alike will come more ability to work out for extended periods of time while on the treadmill, cardiovascular fitness is one of the best ways to improve health over time. It is directly effective. It is a constant process which is natural and will improve based on the person and the amount of work which they put into their fitness endeavors. The efforts which are put in are an investment in the future.

They are not claiming that you will burn more fat calories from a low intensity workout than a high intensity one. On the contrary, when you do the math, you will find that you are still burning more pounds with high intensity workouts than low intensity ones. You'll find this true across the board. No one that uses this method will be as effective.

All these experts are saying is that your body more efficiently burns fat calories before it reaches the cardiovascular level. Once there, it continues to burn them well, but it also brings in new types of calories to burn along with the tubby ones. Don't fall victim to this fable. It is the same thing as saying that you would rather have fifty percent of $10 dollars as opposed to thirty percent of $100.

Exercising on a budget is still possible for those who have the desire and motivation to do so. By investing a little now on home exercise equipment an individual can save hundreds of dollars a year in gym membership cost while receiving the same or better results that gym rats achieve.
