Smoothies are a treat that most youngsters enjoy. They are packed with plenty of nutrition and taste great as well. Blend together some apples, bananas oranges, pineapple and brewer's yeast to make a shake that no child can resist.

Another great option is vegetarian sushi. Use sheets of seaweed and roll them around thin cut carrots, cucumber and avocado. The small bundles create the perfect finger food for any child. Brownies are a favorite of most children. The raw version is easy to make and it tastes delicious. Combine almond butter, honey, carob powder and date paste. Lettuce wraps are a great alternative to sandwiches. Julienne a variety of vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, avocados and cilantro. Squeeze on some lime juice and wrap it all up in some romaine leaves.

When it comes to snacking, chips are a staple. Grind some fresh cut corn into a paste. Frozen corn may also be used. Use cumin, garlic and chili powder to flavor the mixture and then spread it onto a dehydration tray. Score the snacks and dry them for several hours. It's a healthy alternative to those bagged options that are sold in grocery stores.

Use a blend of lime juice, mangoes and coconut to make pudding. Use the blender to puree the mixture until it is thick. Add chopped nuts for even more flavor.
