How Kettlebells Could Help Win the Giants the Super Bowl

By Rob Sutter

Kettlebells aid in making people stronger, faster, and more agile. Everyone knows and accepts this as fact by now. But what some people don't know is how beneficial these weights and their workouts can be to already elite professional athletes. Take, for example, the New York York Giants, who will be playing for their second Super Bowl championship in less than five years. They already have supremely conditioned athletes but these unique weights most likely could help make them better.

1. Eli Manning - The younger quarterback of the Giants has proven himself time and time again in clutch conditions this season. He has been able to rebound from vicious hits. He has done this by opposing linemen. With the help of kettlebell training, Eli likely could develop more foot speed and even higher stamina.

2. Victor Cruz - Considered to be one of the top-notch guys in the Giants, he is a great wide-receiver and it's not hard to see why the overall offense of the team has been so strong. The team has been helped by Cruz's ability to move about on the field and he's been consistent as far as work rate goes. Kettlebell workouts, much like the skills Cruz possesses, are multi-faceted and this is something that fitness authorities such as Lorna can claim. Who's to say that Cruz can use kettlebells to amp his game? He's already a strong football player and his physical attributes can only become better.

3. Jason Pierre-Paul - Deemed as a major force on the Giants defensive, Pierre-Paul has been able to make a name for himself as a star as well. He has 16.5 sacks to his name and, as a result, earned himself a position as only of the cornerstones of the Giants during the second season. Those on the other side of the field try not to tread along the same field, since they may fear being added onto the growing sack list. Kettlebells can only heighten the amount of strength this man has and his agility will be helped in the process.

The New York football Giants, already experiencing a stellar post season, can only hope to add to it in the upcoming days. If the players wanted to, they likely could use kettlebell training in the off season. These weights can only improve upon their already impressive physical conditioning. If they did, who knows what they likely could accomplish during the 2012 regular season?
